Statement of Faith

1. Scripture
I believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and sufficient Word of God. It is the final authority for all matters of faith and life, revealing God’s character, His plan of redemption, and His will for His people.

2. God
I believe in one true and living God who eternally exists as three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are not three gods, but one God, equal in essence, power, and glory. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, yet each person is distinct in role and relationship. The Father plans redemption, the Son accomplishes it through His life, death, and resurrection, and the Holy Spirit applies it to the hearts of believers.

3. Jesus Christ
I believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the eternal Son who took on human nature through the incarnation. He lived a sinless life, died as a perfect sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the dead, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father. Salvation is found in Him alone.

4. The Holy Spirit
I believe the Holy Spirit regenerates the hearts of sinners, granting them faith and repentance. He indwells, sanctifies, and empowers believers to live in obedience to God’s Word and to persevere in faith until the end.

5. Humanity and Sin
I believe that all humanity is born under the curse of Adam’s sin and is spiritually dead apart from God’s grace. We are unable to come to God or choose Him on our own. Only by the sovereign work of the Holy Spirit can anyone be made alive in Christ.

6. Salvation
I believe salvation is entirely the work of God’s grace from beginning to end. Before the foundation of the world, God chose a people in Christ for salvation. Christ died specifically for His sheep, securing their redemption. The Spirit applies this work by regenerating, calling, and sealing the elect. Those whom God saves will persevere in faith, kept by His power and grace.

7. The Church
I believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers from every nation. It exists to glorify God through worship, the preaching of His Word, fellowship, and the making of disciples.

8. The Christian Life
I believe Christians are called to live in holiness, humility, and love, bearing fruit that reflects their new life in Christ. Though believers still struggle with sin, they are being transformed by the Spirit and will be brought to final glory.

9. Last Things
I hold to a partial preterist understanding of prophecy, affirming that many of Christ’s promises regarding judgment and the kingdom were fulfilled in the first century. Yet I also look forward to the final resurrection, the judgment of all people, and the full and eternal reign of Christ in the new heavens and new earth.

10. The Glory of God
I believe that all things exist for the glory of God alone. From creation to redemption, every purpose of God displays His sovereign grace, justice, and mercy, leading His people to worship Him forever.
