About Me

Welcome to Kentucky Calvinist, a place where the doctrines of grace are explored with clarity, humility, and faithfulness. I’m the author of this blog, writing to help others see how God’s sovereignty and love shape both our faith and our everyday lives.

I live in Kentucky, where faith runs deep and thoughtful theology still matters. Kentucky Calvinist began as a personal reflection on what Scripture teaches—not to defend a label, but to point to God’s unchanging character, our constant need for grace, and the beauty of salvation that comes by grace alone.

Before coming to embrace Calvinism, I spent many years following the teachings of Shepherd’s Chapel. Over time, I began to see serious errors in their understanding of election and salvation. Leaving those beliefs behind was difficult, but it was the right thing to do. Discovering Calvinism gave me a biblical framework that honors what Scripture truly says about God’s sovereignty, redemption, and the Christian life.

My goal here is simple: to share biblical truth in plain, honest language. Whether I’m writing about the cross, grace, or the nature of salvation, I want to explain theology in a way that is both heartfelt and faithful to Scripture. My aim is not to win debates, but to let the Bible speak clearly for itself.

Here’s what you can expect to find on this blog:

Clarity: Straightforward articles like “What Calvinism Is About” and “Total Depravity” that explain doctrine with both precision and compassion.

Assurance: Devotional pieces such as “Jesus Took Our Place” and “The Master Who Bought Them”, written to strengthen faith and deepen trust in Christ.

Theological Faithfulness: Every article and reflection is rooted in Scripture, seeking to honor God’s Word above human opinion or tradition.

This is not a flashy platform or a polished production. It’s simply a place for honest study, quiet reflection, and growth in grace. My hope is that these writings encourage you to rest in the sufficiency of Christ’s work, to find confidence in His grace, and to walk faithfully in the calling He has given you.

Thank you for reading. Take your time, explore the articles, and join the conversation as we continue to grow in the knowledge and joy of the gospel together.
